Discover the city of Uzès

Uzès, labeled "City of Art and History", is the first Duchy of France and is home to many remarkable places to visit and discover. We advise you to go through the street beginning "Jacques d´Uzès", to appreciate the softness of the Place Dampmartin, but also to walk the fabulous Place aux Herbes, to visit the Ducal castle, as well as the Saint Théodorit Cathedral. Every Wednesday and Saturday morning, you will enjoy strolling between the market gardeners' stalls in the Place aux Herbes, a very famous market in Uzès, and sitting on the terrace in the shade of a plane tree, with a pleasant view of arcaded houses. Our charming guest house is just 5 kilometers from Uzès.

Gard's Bridge

Built around 50 AD, the aqueduct to which the Pont du Gard belongs, supplied the city of Nîmes for 5 centuries. The Pont du Gard will surprise you with its exceptional conservation and the beauty of its neighboring scrubland. During your walk in the heart of nature, you will enjoy settling on the banks of the Gardon and contemplating the Pont du Gard. On this exceptional site, you will have access to a museum, a game library, a cinema, exhibitions or events. At La Cour St Siffret we can organize a bike rental for you to explore the region, for example: The greenway which connects Uzès to the Bridge and which represents a 10 km circuit.

The village of Saint-Siffret

The small village of St-Siffret, 5 km from Uzès, and 10 km from the Pont du Gard, is one of the most beautiful villages in the region. Born in the 12th century, it conceals a very rich architectural heritage which makes it a place to discover, a must in the region. With its steep alleys, its houses built on the rock, its high walls housing a castle and magnificent residences and its sublime views over the plain it dominates, it naturally appeals to visitors sensitive to art and culture. From the house, the scrubland which surrounds the village can be reached on foot and offers many walks in the countryside. Beautiful cycling routes are also on the program at the Cour Saint Siffret. Close to several TGV stations, but away from heavily traveled axes, it is both accessible and protected. For those curious who escape this sweet paradise, the ideal geographical location of the village allows travelers to enjoy all the charms of the region without straying too far from it.
